This is Tribal Beat
I am Silvia and this is Tribal Beat.
“Tribal” and “beat”: two words that combined with one another are full of nuances and to me are synonymous of energy, personality. Roots, tradition. Originality, authenticity. Sun, life.
Why “Tribal Beat?”
I have always been passionate about the history and the creative ability expressed by an engraved jade, a Middle Eastern pendant, a bone bead: these elements now become the focal point of my creations.
I love blending unusual elements to evoke an “elsewhere” that tells about journeys, experiences and stories of cultures that fascinate me; daring with materials and proportions, reworking them into an unusual jewel which I would like to wear myself.
And I love contrasts. Thus to pearls, Western and classical, I oppose the naïve touch of African bronze; I juxtapose basic natural elements such as bone and wood to the delicacy of semi-precious stones or fabrics. Smooth and rough, glossy and opaque, fine and raw: combining them to stimulate sight and touch to create an original and versatile jewel.
Tribal Beat, in other words passion: born from head, heart and hands.
I imagine a different design for each jewel, so that it is unique and never duplicated, and I craft them: each one holds a small world, timeless and beyond fashion.
The inspiration for a single piece or a small collection arises from layered stimuli in my personal story: the pattern of an ikat fabric or the faded texture of an old kilim, the poetic leaves arabesques of William Morris, the reflection of a baroque pearl, the gray patina of time-worn wood … but also from the background of a rock song, a sunset sky or the tasting of a good glass of wine: all that guides me towards a creation that I hope will add an unconventional note to your style.
I create my jewels with the intent of making my customers feel unique and special, and could sort the “wow!” effect whether they wear them over a basic outfit such as t-shirts/jeans or over “that little black dress”.
Above all, I love that the last step be shared between me and the woman who will wear the jewel: because she and her originality will conclude the creative cycle.
