This necklace is an example of design that combines Made in Italy craftsmanship with the fascinating aesthetics of African jewels.
The necklace is made with biconical Tuareg beads, raw faceted agate, wood beads, old coins, metal inserts and two strands of vintage chevron pearls.
The chevron pearls, also known as rosette pearls, shows a star design section and are made up of several layers, from 4 to 9 depending on the type of pearls and their age.
Due to the complexity of their manufacture they were used as a trading commodity in Africa.
